Thought you would all appreciate this beauty. I was hiking and a small lump on a branch caught my attention. I was pretty surprised to see this guy(or girl) just hanging out at eye level right in the sun! Such a beautiful frog. Didn't seem to mind at all when I picked it up for a better look. Then I put it back and it just settled right back in like nothing ever happened.
Gorgeous treefrog you found! Aren't greys the best ever? Cool as a cucumber.
Wow! I didn't realize that Grey's got that big! You can tell that I need to get out of my bubble and do research on other types of TF's. Thanks for sharing the photo's. :-)

This is actually the biggest grey tree frog I've ever seen personally. It's not often you see them at eye level around here though. It was definitely extremely calm about being handled. I think they are one of the prettiest frogs that are native to Maine.

I have a frog. She's fat and green. Her name is Gertrude, because she is fat and green.
Lynn, I honestly don't think anyone else would noticed. I'm like programmed to notice stuff like that. She was pretty well camouflaged and my boyfriend walked right by her before I saw her!
And yes, Becky, I totally agree that it had to have been a female. I mean, she was HUGE. For a wild frog to get that big she must have been doing something right![]()
