Welcome to the forum! Beautiful frog. You've come to the right place![]()
Hello all, Im Jason from Pennsylvania, and i have just recently (about 12 hours ago) purchased my very first Pacman, im not new to the amphibian/reptile world as i have owned many since i was like 5, but have never purchased a frog/toad to keep as long as they live, i have always caught wild ones for like a day when i was younger
. But anyways new to the site, came here thru google while researching Pacmans online before i decided to buy one, and today i bought a "Fantasy Pacman" atleast thats what the cage at the shop said lol it took me 4 different pet stores to find one and it just had to be the most expensive one lol 50$ not sure on age or 100% sure on sex but i think a male due to the "beard" (so i read but not sure how accurate that is) and of course the other 3 shops were like 15-25$ but sold out unfortunately, but oh well i love mine either way. Hopefully by joining here i can get alot more answers and alot faster if be needed for any reason, and can hopefully get the best advice on starting to collect as i am in need of a new hobby
.
Have a good day,
Jason

Welcome to the forum! Please read the Pacman care sheet if you have not already. Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding
You have a very nice Fantasy! $50 for a sub-adult or adult Fantasy is not pricey at all. The other stores that advertised $15-25 were most likely baby Cranwellis. They are the most common and least expensive (for the browns, greens, and albinos anyway). Great find!
Be careful! Frogs are VERY addicting! A year and a half ago I only had one... now I have nine. They are such amazing creatures! And Horned frogs come in so many different colors and patterns, it is hard not to want to collect them all!![]()
thnx and yes i have checked the care sheet before i even bought the lil chubbers and after lol i like to be 100% sure im set, on the price topic, sweet i just thought they were being expensive lol they had a quater sized albino for the same price too but he was just stocked and the guy said he wasnt sure on how well he eats and offered me to take this 1 because he gobbled anything and evrything he put in with him which is good knowing that he eats. Yea i always loved frogs/toads/lizards all them nice lil/big things lol i have 2 green iguanas and a 4' ball python atm, i would like to start collecting the more affordable frogs/toads such as firebellies, Whites.., etc just seein how Nom Nom does first with his new home
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
welcome!
