    Default Pacman Frog care

Well I've thought about getting another frog and when I when to petsmart I saw an awesome pacman frog right by a Chinese Water Dragon(they were in the same enclosure) and I went straight home and red care guides but they all said something different so I need some advice. Thanks in advance.

Well if you do desire to get a Pacman Frog I will say that they are considered easy care frogs, but they can be difficult. I never consider them easy.becauae they can be stressed very easily and really don't like handling at all. They do get used to handling for enclosure cleaning and bathing over time. If you're not scared of being bitten then that's good because you WILL. be bitten sometime and usually it is by accident, but some are aggressive and will attack your hand.

I'm not trying to discourage you at all, but I can't stress enough that you must research these frogs before you get one. They can't have inconsistent climate within their enclosure because they will get stressed. You can read through the threads here and receive a lot of information and also see the most common occurrence with these frogs and diseases as well. Good luck on you decision Here's the care article and if you need in-depth information there are several experienced keepers and breeders who can assist you.Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding

Also that Petsmart is very ignorant and obviously doesn't know anything about these frogs. They should never be kept with any other species of frog or reptile. Not even with their own species. They are highly cannibalistic and will try to eat just about anything that fits in their mouth. If you do buy it you would be doing that frog a favor.

Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
