As I hinted in another post, new additions arrived Wednesday. My "birthday" frog is another fantasy frog. The others I bought were another little ornate (thought was getting high red, did not, but it's cute anyway), "strawberry pineapple" albino, and an apricot albino -- these last two look pretty much identical. Nice reddish colors. Plus a little baby tomato frog -- when I first ordered it I wanted a sub-adult female, but they were out of stock on those and sent me this little one. TINY little thing, Ieven smaller than the "baby" tomato frogs were I had gotten a couple (or more) months ago.
I also got a cute tiger salamander and ordered 3 marbled salamanders as well, but not sure what happened as the marbled salamanders were not in the shipment.
They all got their first meal here tonight. I kind of had to force myself to do the feeding round (last night skipped it for all), but the feeding round definitely helped ease the pain of loss of last night. All 4 little pacmans -- about the length of a quarter each -- eagerly ate at least 2 small nightcrawler pieces -- all were tong fed and did well. The little tomato frog was tong fed 3 tiny crickets then I put fruit flies in (which he/she is gobbling up). The tiger salamander ate a small piece of worm, refused another piece of worm but ate 2 or 3 smallish dusted crickets.
The rest of my pacmans ate well tonight as well. A good feeding round tonight.
Pics to come probably this weekend, as soon as I get them off the camera and cropped/saved.
Congrats! Can't wait to see pictures of them!
wow! that's what I call shopping! congrats!
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
These pics were taken just after I put them into their Kritter Keepers (small for now). Left to right: fantasy; strawberry pineapple albino; apricot albino; ornate. The two albinos look very similar, the flash kind of washed the one out a bit (I know, flash is not good for the albinos, but I tried to avoid their eyes when taking the pics). A few bits of remaining moss from shipping were on the frogs.
They all look great Emandkel! Love that fantasy!
