    Default Why fruit flies????????

Ok idk some of you all might remember when i picked up 4 blue dart frogs from this awesome guy in Southern Mass anywho since then i have feed them nothing but "FLYLESS FRUIT FLIES" same with the guy i picked them up from. When i first got them i saw maybe one flying fruit fly in the viv well now it seems that these little annoying stupid flies are in all of my frog tanks i even went out bought more eco earth and put new soil in all my tanks. A couple of days later they are back in my tanks i washed did everything i could do but these little things are instoppable the guy gave me fly paper that has worked but they are still here. You might be thinking oh it could be your house, there is now way shape or forum it is my house it is clean no bugs nadda the funny thing is that i don't see them flying around my house just in the tanks CAN ANY OF YOU TELL ME WHAT MIGHT OF HAPPENED? HOW I CAN SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

Rogue fruit flies are a part of life if you are keeping frogs that feed on them.

If you have flies that are flying, it is probably fungus gnats... They'll disappear eventually if that's the case. What are you using for substrate?

They should disappear eventually. I would recommend changing your substrate from Eco earth to ABG mix.
