Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
So within less than a week of having Pippin in quarantine we have confirmation on sex XD
the last couple nights I have heard small chirp noises while in bed... almost wondered if it was the damn crickets. Well today I came home from running errands and saw Pippins throat was all puffed out and I had misted right before stepping out for 15min. So I misted again after dinner as I remembered Frodo used to call every time I misted. I walked away and within 10min I heard chirping again... not like Frodo long loud ones but the little guy was trying lol. Sure enough he was on a different area all puffed out like when I got home XD. So we now have 2 confirmed males and 2 assumed females until they call hehe XD
Why assume when you can just flip them over and look? Or watch them climb with their bellies on the glass? Breeding age males have dark chins (I think of it as a froggy beard.) and females are all white on their bellies and chins.
I have a frog. She's fat and green. Her name is Gertrude, because she is fat and green.
That is not an exact science. I have seen full frown males with light throats... Frodos is dark but Pippins is light. Yes they say males "usually" have a darker throat can't be used to guarantee it.
