feeding my red eyed green tree frogs!!

Apart from crickets is there any othewr live foods that red eyed green tree frogs will eat??? I have tried baby locusts but what with them being soo small I dunno if they are getting eaten up or not!!! Can adult red eyed green tree frogs eat larger locusts than baby ones??? I dont like feeding them crickets as apart from the fact that they can escape, they make an awful racket during the night and are nearly impossible to get rid off if any escapes!!! Im just wondering if they would eat small roaches or anything else????

I dunno about locusts, but they will absolutely eat roaches. Roaches are actually a much healthier staple diet than crickets. You might look into breeding your own roaches if you're interested in raising your own feeders to save money. Roaches are easier to breed, less stinky, and less noisy than crickets.

I would have to agree. Roaches are much more meatier then crickets and are easy to breed! I personally have my own Dubia Roach colony and it's great to have around when I run out of crickets - I like to feed variety. As far as other staples, though there's not much else that would make an okay staple. Other live bugs you could feed could be: Phoenix Worms, Waxworms, Butterworms, Hornworms, etc. These would not make a good staple as they are very fatty and really should only be used as a treat.
