    Default how do you tell the sex of a white's tree frog?

    Mine are babies. When aprox will they get to full size and how can I sex them?

    I have been told it can take some time before full growth is reached... But as for sexing... if it calls it is a male XD and if it lays eggs its a female... other than that there's no sure way other than a DNA test lol. Females can chirp so to hear a male call if you dont know what to listen for you tube "whites tree frog calling"!

    I'm actually told it's pretty easy to sex them as adults so long as they are healthy. My boys all do call, this is true, but Dahlia will also call briefly if someone is on her back and she's mad about it.

    One way is that when they are calling a HUGE puffed up throat means male, the females call shorter, and their throats don't expand out like a male's.

    But even more simple (and yet oddly not well known about it I find) is the nuptial pad check. Males develop dark spots on their inner "thumb" called a nuptial pad. To see examples check out this thread: http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/...ree-frogs.html
