Baking out the bad stuff !

Hi Adam,
Did you get my PM?

I baked them to long! I think
45 minutes on 325 degrees
They had a sort of burned smell to them ?
I took them back out last night.
Soaked them in bleach in the tub.....and they are rinsing in de-chlorinated water all night.
It removed the odor completely.



Now I'm happy.

I'm experimenting ............ making a vine from 100% polyester rope / it's painted green ( acrylic paint) and so far has 2 coats of 100% brown silicone smeared on on it. Looks cool ! I just have to be sure about the paint? It is apparently safe for "dishes and the dish washer" If I decide to use this vine I will wrap it around the wood? We'll see?









Sorry for the ugly yellow towel in the photos. It is hanging in the basement , so it needed something behind it for the photos.
