    Hi Adam,
    Did you get my PM?

I baked them to long! I think
    45 minutes on 325 degrees
They had a sort of burned smell to them ?
I took them back out last night.
Soaked them in bleach in the tub.....and they are rinsing in de-chlorinated water all night.
    It removed the odor completely.

    Now I'm happy.

I'm experimenting ............ making a vine from 100% polyester rope / it's painted green ( acrylic paint) and so far has 2 coats of 100% brown silicone smeared on on it. Looks cool ! I just have to be sure about the paint? It is apparently safe for "dishes and the dish washer" If I decide to use this vine I will wrap it around the wood? We'll see?

Sorry for the ugly yellow towel in the photos. It is hanging in the basement , so it needed something behind it for the photos.

Cool!! Where did you get the wood/jungle vine? Chewie is adorable, looks like my cat around ANYthing food or frog related. He'll steal nightcrawlers, crickets, you name it.

The artificial vine looks awesome, I'm planning on making some from vinyl tubing, your's looks much more authentic though, I'll have to experiment with that too!

    Both enclosures look great!!!

i love that wood!! i wish i had some of that for one of my planted tanks. the enclosure looks great. i have been playing with different materials to make vines for my 125, but haven't decided on what to use yet. is the rope still somewhat flexible after it dries?

Bill....... I see you saw this.
Yes it is flexible. It has a nice feel to it.
I really like how it came out. But that acrylic paint ?????????????????????

I wrapped a thinner brown plastic tubing around the rope. .
    I'll post a photo.

cool. i have made vines from twine/titebond/coconut fiber, but they were very hard and brittle when they cured. i want something a bit more flexible so that i can fashion it how/where i want. i was gonna get some of those zoomed (or whoever makes them) vines, but they still look kind if cheesy, i guess. i mean, they look alright, but they don't look natural by any means. but then again, that's just my opinion, which, according to my bed bully, is ALWAYS wrong...LOL
