Ok so I came into work today and one of my four FBT is acting really weird. When I went to check on them it looked like he/she was dead, when I opened the cage he jumped but very poorly. He/she looked very disorientated, he/she is having trouble opening its eyes, he/shes legs look like there not working all that well. It looks like its having some sort of spasm or neurological disorder, I dont know what to do. I change there water every 2-3 days (90%) and all the others are happy healthy and active. Has anyone had this happen before? I've had frogs/toads a LONG time and this is the first time I've seen this. Any help is appreciated
well sad update, The poor little one died last nightstill not sure what happened
i'm so sorry![]()
From the sounds of it (of course, I don't have enough information to be sure), my guess would be your toad fell and harmed its back, perhaps dislocating a disk. Probably climbed the glass of its enclosure and fell on something hard. It's not all that uncommon, sadly...
Aww so sorry to hear that![]()

Speaking from a perspective of having 5 compacted lower disks myself, I'm not sure. For one there is nothing hard inside the cage, but on the other hand it definitely was some neurological thing. Well thanks any everyone.
