Default I know it's been asked a million times

When feeding crickets, should they be the width between the eyes or the width of the head? I went to Petco today to get small crickets like usually and when I dumped them in their cricket tank I realize that they gave me 2 large ones. Now I'm pretty sure my bigger WTF would eat it by just shoving it in but what are the risks if any in him doing that?

Those are just general guidelines. Just don't feed them anything so big that it looks like they are having a hard time with it. Generally the food item should be about the same size as distance between your frog's eyes. A bigger-than-average meal every once in a while is nothing to worry about. Frogs in nature don't eat exactly the same sized insects at every meal

Its the length between there eyes like Cam said... risks of them eating something to large is impaction... which can lead to death.. better safe than sorry.

    Patsy,
Hang around after you feed them, and simply watch them eat.
You never want to see them struggle.
It's better to feed MORE small............ than FEWER large.

I've always heard "If it'll easily fit into their mouth..." My gray can handle several small crickets or a few mediums. Depends on the bug.
I have a frog. She's fat and green. Her name is Gertrude, because she is fat and green.

Thanks everyone. I was looking at the cricket last night, I don't think I'm going to risk it. It's almost as big as the frog!
