Congrats! They're good climbers. Might want to weigh down the lid. P.S. They do best with a friend. Might want to get him a nice gf.

hi and welcome! pics please!
Yah im going to get him a tank mate and move him into my 10 gallon(curently in a 5 gallon)Hes a realy great pet but is a very picky eater he wouldnt eat anything.
It sometimes takes them a few days to settle in and relax. Try covering the back and 2 sides of the tank. Are you using crickets?
How do you have his tank set up? Substrate, water area/bowl, temp, humidity?
He's a cutie!![]()

Thanks! Right now his substrate is gravel but im going to make it eco earth soon and his setup is half land half water.I wanted to see at first if he liked mealworms and he dove in the water and hid from it.Also he like it when I pet him(rub my finger against his back) and he jumps on my hand and doesnt want to get off.=D
Yes, definitely change the gravel if it is small. Larger rocks can be used, but be sure they are large enough that he can't swallow them accidentally, preferably big rocks such as river rocks.
I would stick with crickets and small cut pieces of earth worms...
Both mealworms and accidental ingestion of rocks can cause fecal impaction, which may lead to death.
