I was cleaning out my Pacmans cage & when I do so I stick him in his container that he came in from the pet store
I always put a little water in the container for him to sit in. After I am all done with his cage, I slowly tip the container he is currently until the container is upside down and the water drains I . Since the lid is clear I couldnt help but notice he was a pinkish red color on his underside near his butt and on his thighs. Is that normal? I change his cage completely once a month and clean out waste daily or as needed. He is pretty active at night, but seems to go sit in his same spot when he decides to burrow. Should I be cleaning his cage completely more often?
This could be a case of red leg. If so he needs to see a vet ASAP.
Could you post a pic?
What are your enclosures day/night temps and humidity?
Size of enclosure?
Substrate used?
Are you treating his water?
Has he been eating ok?
Please refer to the sticky post under the pacman section entitled "trouble in the enclosure" and answer those question here.
Once again, a pic of his legs would really help, but this does sound like red leg to me.
During the daytime his temp is 80 degrees & at night it goes down to 70-75 degrees. His humidity is always between 50 and 80 percent and rarely falls below 50. It usually hovers around 65-70 percent most of the time.
The size of the enclosure is a 5.5 gallon tank because the lady who sold him to my mother at PetSmart said that size tank is perfect for him. I recently discovered he should be in a 10 gallon tank, so he will be switched to a bigger one soon.
For his bedding, I use Eco Earth Coconut Substrate. I have recently started putting more in there than I usually did which was enough to bury him to his head, but I have also learned that they can get red from irritation from trying to burrow further down when they cant.
Water is being treated. I use regular tap water which is treated with ReptiSafe. It is put in a water pitcher so it can sit out for a couple days & is refilled when empty.
He seems to be normally active at night, with a night here and there where he just stays burrowed but that happens very rarely. The moment the lights go out he is usually out and about.
He is fed three large gut-loaded crickets nightly, and they are usually gone in the morning except for the smart ones that climb his plants and stay there. Should I be feeding him more than that? His crickets also get dusted once a week.
Here are a couple pictures of his underside. I will see if I can get better ones tonight.

You need to take some better pics. Can't get a good view of the pinkish area. Don't be alarmed or jump to conclusions. A lot of the time it isn't Red Leg. Especially on Pacmans because they usually will have a pinkish coloring in those areas from burrowing. Red Leg comes from contact with other infected frogs or furniture and other items that have come in contact with a infected frog.
Dirty conditions and unclean water will also cause Red Leg.
Take some clearer pics so we can get a better view.
