    Yes, definitely change the gravel if it is small. Larger rocks can be used, but be sure they are large enough that he can't swallow them accidentally, preferably big rocks such as river rocks.

    I would stick with crickets and small cut pieces of earth worms...

    Both mealworms and accidental ingestion of rocks can cause fecal impaction, which may lead to death.

    the gravel is big enough so he cant swallow it and now hes eating .This morning I found a surprise Blaze was on top of the filter! when I got him off he just started chimney climbing back up(chimney climbing is for professionals only)!
