Anyone else have problems with the Reptifogger?

I bought a brand new Reptifogger from Petco about a month ago. First the fan went out and the machine wouldn't push the fog through the tube. I contacted Zoo Med and their customer service was fantastic, (as i've heard) and they sent me out a new fan right away for free. I replaced the fan, and still nothing. So, today I went and exchanged it for a new one. I just got around to setting it up, and it wont even turn on.. I've emailed Zoo Med again. We'll see what happens.

I've never had issues with mine either... What type of water are you using? I'm not sure the type of water you are using would cause the issue you had with the original one...

Mine gets a hiccup every now and then where it stops blowing out mist for a minute then starts up again. Which is fine because even on the lowest setting it still pumps out A LOT of mist.

I'm using distilled water only and 1 reptifogger split between 2 tanks, never had any problems yet.

I just recently bought a crane cool mist humidifier that does not have a fan. (4 1/2 star rating on amazon) I hooked up two plastic tubes to it and ran them to my tanks. It works great and I dont have to stress about humidity anymore. the water reservoir is large so it can go a few days without changing the water. I have heard a lot of problems and bad ratings on amazon for the reptifogger. mostly fan issues. the only upside to them is that you can set them right on top of the cage because they are small in size.

i have one of those too great stuff, but had to play around to find a proper plumbing, but once set - no need to worry about using distilled water! I'm using conditioned instead! and it seems that it gives more mist then reptifogger, i had this impression at least, it gives me water condensation on a plants that I need for cresties. Ariel - have you noticed the same?

If the tube runs flat, water can build up and cause it to overload with fog and not expel it though the tube. Go straight up and do an almost 180 degree bend to where you want it. The flatter the tube, the less fog will come out! Hope this helps!
