Does the UTH feel warm? What size enclosure do you have and what size UTH?

btw i've been trying to raise the temp because he hasn't eaten in about 6 days now… I've offered him a night crawler piece every day but he refuses to take it….he did poop yesterday though and he looks healthy overall. I had been feeding him mealworms for a few days when I first got him but then switched to night crawlers last week but he still hasn't actually ate them. i'm getting worried!

Have you tried crickets? I assume that you have a metal screen top right? Cover 3/4 of the top with Saran Wrap(Plastic Wrap) this will help hold heat and humidity in. You can also place a second UTH on the same end either on the back or front of the tank. Two should help with heat. If that doesn't work you. may have to buy a heat lamp.

I do have a metal lid and actually just covered it in saran wrap. I have not tried crickets and will do so soon. should I just let them run wild in the tank? i'll moniter the heat and get back to you on that. thanks!

You can let a few run around, but break their hind legs off so that they are easy to catch and can't jump. Try and make sure your humidity is 80%.

    Do keep me updated.

Oh, but make sure you remove any uneaten crickets each morning.
