Angry frogs

So yesterday I tried to feed one of my pacmans a nightcrawler and he didn't want to eat it so I left it there in his tank. Well I also have a fantasy frog housed in the same aquarium but its spilt down the middle and the fantasy tried to get it but of course he couldn't because of the glass. Well my pacman noticed him jumping at the glass and actually snapped back at the glass and I noticed he was doing that thing with his feet that some pacmans do when they see prey. Do pacmans get jealous of each other? I've seen him do that one other time with his feet and I noticed that he was also staring down my fantasy that same time too. They are also the same size so there's no way either one could even try to eat the other.

There are two very important things to remember when housing pacs in a divided tank. The first is that you need to be absolutely POSITIVE that there is no way either frog can get around/over/under/through the divider. They can be very agile when they are determined to be. I have heard many accounts of Pacmans in similar situations getting to the other side and attacking and/or eating the other frog. The second is to cover the divider with some sort of background so they cannot see each other. When they can see through, they are very likely to try to go after the frog or its food. If determined, they will slam against the glass again and again in an effort to attack their prey. This can cause serious injury to the frog. It's not being jealous; it is being territorial.

Although being the same size makes them less likely to try to eat each other, it is still definitely a possibility. Pacs are notorious for trying to eat things bigger than they should. Even in the wild, there are biologist accounts of finding dead horned frogs with prey larger than themselves still in their mouths. They WILL die trying to eat them. Cover that divider asap!

Just out of curiosity. Why do u think he does that foot twitching thing when he sees my fantas?. Like I said I've only seen him do that one other time towards him. Never done it to his food before

O and there's possible way for either to cross. The glass goes from top to bottom and is sealed shut on the sides. I will try to get a cover of some sort

The foot twitching thing is not out of jealousy. He is twitching them and using them as a LURE.
It is how they attract food in the wild............look at the wiggling thing that is probably food little lizard/chick/other frog/mouse/whatever.........and as soon as the prey is within range................CHOMP!!!!

They're cannibalistic and other frogs will react to the movement of the toes and not notice that they're in danger when they go to attack the lure. Like Jess said once they go for the wriggling toes its too late.
