I got a new little pocket digital camcorder recently, and took some pics and video of my pacman frogs. Unfortunately, the pic quality is poor and video recording is also not good quality, but it was "free" so I can't complain too much. It's not too bad. Anyway -- took videos of feeding my frogs in a container, along with good digital photos from my camera -- when I get the videos edited and put together, I'll post it.
Meanwhile, here's some pics from tonight's photo shoot -- all pics but my big ornate were taken within the last couple of hours. Wouldn't you know it my big ornate was last in the video shoot, and I forgot to take a good pic of him! So that one is from about a week ago. [Edit -- pics shown were taken by my digital camera]
big ornate; new little ornate (high red???)
green cranwelli (two pics of the same frog)
green apple; fantasy; brown/"chocolate" cranwelli (new)
The four from Mikes Phat Frogs: little albino, bigger albino, 2 caatingas
Two brown cranwellis; albino from pet store

I think the pic quality is great, nice frog!
The pics above were taken by my digital camera. Here's one taken by the camcorder to show you the difference:

Sorry, I must've read it wrong
You're frogs are quite photogenic![]()
Finally got the video edited and uploaded:
Awesome photos and video. Thanks for sharing. How do you like your Apple and Brown Joaz?
Thank you! I like all of mine, but am especially eager to see how the Joaz grow and develop their colors -- simply stunning on the contrast and bright coloration. They stay mostly pretty dark though right now. The apple stays brown, only a slight bit of green on him/her. I just hope that maybe I'll be lucky and have him/her grow up to adulthood and live a long life without health issues.
What's been amazing to me is that since I've started feeding worms (only a few weeks) it seems like the ones who are eating them are growing faster now. I wish I could get the few that would rather eat crickets to eat mostly worms versus crickets!
Yeah, the Joaz have such amazing contrast! I swear they glow in the dark!We have one brown and one green Joaz and they both have that neon green stripe. I just can't get enough of it! Your Apple is the only one I've seen that looks like mine. I think they might be from the same spawning; I'm pretty sure we got them the same week and everything. Mine is currently on antibiotics for a UTI, but he is doing well. His appetitite hasn't decreased at all and there are no other signs of problems. So here is to hoping that both our Apples live long healthy lives! (And all the other frogs as well!)
I have definitely noticed that mine grow better when nightcrawlers are their staple diet. They are all around a better food source!
Joaz, are the same as Caatingas, correct?
beautiful frogs!!!!!
Love that last albino, you might have changed my mind about what frog I want to get.
The solution is to get them ALL!!That's what we call frog addiction. LOL
LOL true grif, think of it as a 5 for 1 sale![]()
I had to look it up to see when I got my Apple -- it was June 10th -- so I think 10 days after you got yours? Mine was 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 inches when I got it -- but came from Pet Supplies Plus, not Petsmart. But you never know, they could have come from the same supplier. At any rate, hope yours gets over his UTI if he hasn't already.
Nice frogs dude. They're all great looking and I find the more I look at the brown cranwelli, the more I like them. Even if they're the "plainest" of the bunch. Maybe I'll actually see one at the next expo and grab one.
