    Default Very unexpected discovery

I was walking through the nearby park this evening, and all around the creek I heard what I'm 99% sure is some sort of treefrog calling. I have never heard this sound here before. At one time I was almost sure the source of the call was right in front of me, but then it stopped and I couldn't find it. This is amazing because the park is in a suburban area only 15 minutes away from downtown.

How the heck do I find the source of these calls and figure out for sure what it is? The best way I can describe it is a steady "wyrrh-wyyrh", it's kind of high pitched but it's not a peeping sound or anything like a gray treefrog's call.

Look up which frogs are native to your area. Then search up their calls starting from the most popular one
