Ok,
So I woke up this morning an on one of the leafs in my RETF viv. There was a cricket in a total terd Shapiro leading me to believe one of my juv RETF pooped a whole cricket! "ouch"
I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen? An if so what was the result. ? Is the frog ppssibly not digesting it's food correctly or is it that it ate to much and had to make room quickly! ? I do dust there crickets an gut load them. So is this something I should worry about?
Thanx a bunch

My guess is the cricket was too large for your frog to digest... this happens to my white's when he eats a cricket that was too big. He can handle a big meal now and again...
But, I never feed my red-eye anything but small crickets; this has never happened with my red-eye.
And I'm so sorry for the loss of your other frog...

Ouch indeed.
I had a female gray tree frog eat a VERY large cricket once. You could see it's legs poking outward from her stoamch. O_O It was as big as she was but it still fit in her mouth. O.o And...it pretty much looked the same coming out as it did going in.
I mean, once in a while a frog can eat a large cricket, but I don't recommend big food. It's better to feed smaller bugs more often than big ones less often.
I have a frog. She's fat and green. Her name is Gertrude, because she is fat and green.
Sorry about your loss =( and on the cricket sized poop... it is never wise to feed a cricket longer than the width between the frogs eyes. Better to give a couple small that 1 too big. Your lucky he passed it and didn't get impacted.
