I was at the pet store, getting supplies and I seen they had a green apple pacman. Looked just like a regular green pacman to me. Is it anything special, or just a gimmick.
"Green Apples" are a hybrid of green Cranwelli X Green Caatinga. They do look quite different from a normal green Cranwelli. They usually sell for more too because they are a hybrid. Unfortunately, Apples tend to have a lot of health issues. They are bred for their color not health. Many of them don't survive to adulthood. :-(
Of course, it is also very possible that the petstore has the frog mislabeled- either by accident or on purpose. Can you get a picture of it??
It was in the city an hour away. =(
Here are baby pictures of one of my green Cranwellis (on left) and my Green Apple (on right).

They both look similar, could have been a green apple. Thanks Grif.
Just out of curiosity, how much were they selling it for?
$75 (Cdn) which isn't that bad, it was a chain store and their animals and supplies are usually over priced. My usual reptile store (which is privately owned) was selling albinos today for $60. Herps are pretty expensive here in Canada.![]()
So true, $55 for my albino^ where abouts are you in canada?
Manitoba.
ah, I'm in Ontario![]()
