I couldn't find any GE silicone II Black in my area and I didn't feel like ordering it. I work at a pet store so the price isn't that much of an issue. I'm assuming its safe for frogs since it is meant for aquariums, but will it still work for an expanding foam / coco /peat moss background? and will the cure times be the same as GE? the package says it full cures in 24hrs should i still leave it for a few weeks? I was planning on it anyway, but it seems like I might not have to wait as long.
What are your thoughts on this? has anyone else tried it?
trust the label, the information's meant for the slowest cure time under extreme conditions. if it says "cures in 24 hours", it really cures in 15-20. ive used many silicone's where this was the case.
also when i was researching this, many people said aquarium grade silicone is not harmful to humans or pets. in fact i had one i got recently that said you could repair your coffee cup with it. look for "non-toxic"
hope this helps some
