    finished at last

most likely next to come are a few dendrobates ventrimaculatus from josh's frogs. being a first time owner im looking for active climbers, a species easy to care for, and simple to breed. if anyone has another suggestion please chime in.

wow, those broms really popped huh?? looks awesome Adam! i noticed there's very little land mass. aren't you afraid your frogs might drown? still waiting on something to be planted on that ecoweb though. toss a ficus on there, would ya???LOL

btw, i see we share the same taste in floaters and fish food....lol

i did think about that, but then i thought the darts im getting are small to begin with. also thats why it would be important i got climbers.

as for the threat of drowning, that does worry me. i thought of getting a floating plant or more plants that grow out of the water so they could grab onto. what are your feelings on that?

well, i never had darts, so i can't speak with any authority. but i firmly believe that if there are spots where they can easier get out of the water, they should be fine. but you and your new charges are the ones who need to be comfortable with your set up. you could always add amazon frogbit to the tank. it's a lot larger than the duckweed. in scale, it would look like lily pads in your tank. there are a few plants that will grow emergent and won't take up much space in your aquatic section. btw, what are your plans for the water feature??

i was going to get a nice school of neons but not alot of light makes it all the way to the water so you wouldnt be able to see them in all there luster i flet.

and as for the back panel. i have some creeping fig above the burgundy bromeliads. it hasnt really taken off yet

well, that duckweed doesn't help your cause much either. you could put shrimp in there. they would also help clean up any fruit flies that drown in the water and possibly sink. and i had just noticed the fig u top there and was going to ask what it was.

btw, that tank design you swiped from Jason is awesome. 95% humidity and not on drop of aqua on the glass anywhere. nice job putting that together

i ended up acquiring some tetra species from my mother in law. my 14 year old brother in law wasnt taking care of his tank and the fish were doing very poorly. but yes i have always liked the flakes for small tropical fish
