Hello all, I've been viewing the forum for a long time...gathering info and looking at many threads. i decided to join and share the project I've been working on the past few months. it may look familiar to you since i used the same tank concept as another member on this forum, Jason withers. i loved the seamless tank design and i have a glazer right up the street. its incomplete of course, i still need plants and frogs. hope you like
please excuse the horrible photos, they were taken from my phone

Very cool!! What will you be housing in there?

this is my first time with darts so i was thinking dendrobates leucomelas
Cool! Leucomelas are great frogs!
You may want to consider a easy thumbnail species.
They will use the upper portions of the tank more than the leucomelas will when fully grown.
Once leucomelas reach adult hood they climb much less than as froglets.
Since there is so much water space, their land space gets cut down significantly.
A thumbnail species generally stays in the upper portions of the tank and
in my opinion will use much more than the leucomelas will be able to.
Just my .02
Tank looks awesome, cant wait to see it totally finished and planted.
Keep posting pictures!

No problem, yeah adult leucomelas are generally ground dwellers. They prefer more floor space than verticle. Froglet leucomelas on the other hand are serious climbers. lol They are all over the tank.
If you do decide to go with a thumbnail species... i would recommend the imitators. Imitators are what i first started out with and have had no problems with them. Very bold and active frogs whom spend 90% of their time in the upper 2/3 of the tank. In my experience that is. Just make sure you have the temperatures and humidity levels right before introducing the frogs.
Still really interested to see some updates as you go. This tank has some serious potential!

i just read up on the dendrobates imitator and that seems ideal for my setup.
presently im looking for a few broms to add color and more plant life. know a good company/seller? i thought of rfi (rainforestaura), they have mini neo's that are full of luster. idk of there quality of plants though so its a little bit of a gamble i guess. also there plant size is a little decieving, not sure if there what i need. i dont wanna spend $20 a brom and get one thats 2in in diameter and wont grow

I bought the 18x18x24 plant package they have.
I think they gave me a very nice assortment of
color and taste.

and i decided to order from a place out in california called rfi or rainforest flora. i ordered 4 of there mini neo bromeliads
Update!
got some new plants from the local pet shop and hardware stores. also changed my pump exit from the trickle tube to an underwater jet. i really like how it stirs up the water underneath and keeps a nice steady movement of the duckweed on top. broms are coming at the end of the week!

Update!
My broms came today! perfect since i had the day off due to working the previous holiday. they are mostly closed up at the moment, they have been in a shipping box for 6 days so hopefully they open up a little later next week. they have also been treated heavily with fertilizer to speed up the growth so they also lack coloration. when they mature only one will actually stay partly green, i went with mixed species of neos that have alot of red and yellow coloration. i'll try to update the picts when they start to mature. hope you like

This is looking great adam. You could always go with a nice epiphytic fern on the background. I also saw a couple nice, small vines you could use. I'll pm you links when i get home tonight.

Update!
added some forest moss today, trying to get it to cover some of the driftwood as well as raise the humidity a little. nothing too special, but i wanted to post it so i can see the growth in a few months between the bromeliads and the moss. my ferns died soon after splitting and i moved a few plants as well. the bromeliad that was in the front i moved out of the tank to mature a little
