Hi Bill,
Shower curtain rings! They work really great to hang things off the frame of the (exo terra) screen top..... 2 bucks for a dozen from the supermarket, aluminium, (don't rust) and they have NO pointy parts for the frogs to impale themselves on! . I just hung that grape vine ( I have to thread some pothos vine through the rings to disguise them ) There are probably about 10 in there. I use them to suspend the entire canopy. I took the phots to show Ruby's color when the lights had just gone on .

That wood has a funny story. It's actually a 'bird perch'. I get them at petco. 14.00$

So, I bring 2 of them home, scrub them up, and put them in the oven to bake off the bad stuff......and I over baked them-- really over baked them The entire house smelled like - well use your imagination! It was a very medicinal smell to say the least! I let them dry only to realize they still smelled so badly I was not going to be able to use them at all...I thought it could make my frogs high.... lol- kiddidng . In desperation I soaked them in the bathtub in bleach for days, then sealed them into a white kitchen/ garbage bag covered with an entire box of baking soda for over a month .
It worked !!!!!

I use pure aluminum welding rods in my tanks. Only because i have access to them i also use a bit of stainless steel wire, once again, because i have it at work....lol you are a better person than i with that wood. I would have tossed it in favor of new stuff.....lol what you did, now THAT'S dedication! Lol
