Don't you have cats? My cats love chasing the crickets that are too big for the frogs. Then my male cat eats them. Funny and gross at the same time.

Yes, I have two ( indoor) cats.
They would have a blast with a crickets,
However, careful ! .........crickets could have parasites.
A healthy frog can likely handle it...........but not a feline.

Yeah, I'm not buying that. Have you seen the kinds of things cats will eat? If cats can catch, kill & eat wild birds & rodents I don't think you need to worry about them catching a parasite from a cricket. Just sayin' :P

If you have big crickets and dunno what to do with them it's time to get the fishing pole out Crickets make great live bait. OR! You could get a tarantula to eat your big crickets, yay for spiders!

    I don't know Cam.
My kitties have never stepped foot outdoors.
Sadly, it's just not the same as the 'old fashion' way we used to have cats.
A cat is faced with so many health ( and safety) threats outdoors.
They are exposed to various wildlife, in addition to the viruses and illnesses harbored by these other animals and feral cats.
The pesticides in the lawn care products -- alone are a disaster.
I had one cat ( yeas ago) die from Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite from mainly rodents. It caused horrible neurological problems. Exposure to rabies, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus are highly possible because there are so many feral cats. Unfortunately, vaccinations will reduce but not eliminate the threat of some of these diseases. So, I have the same opinion about feeding my cat a random cricket. Why? Why bother? They have cat food!
