    I use pure aluminum welding rods in my tanks. Only because i have access to them i also use a bit of stainless steel wire, once again, because i have it at work....lol you are a better person than i with that wood. I would have tossed it in favor of new stuff.....lol what you did, now THAT'S dedication! Lol
