Thanks-Alex
it should eat however much it wants to in 15 minutes, usually 5-7 depending on how hungry he is. and you are supposed to dust them with vitamins atleast 2 times a week. and pacman frogs arent really active, they usually burrow and just sit in one spot all day. the best way to heat the cage is by using a heatpad or a light that gets it up to 80-85 degrees.
Grats on your new frog. You could put some fake plants and hiding spots like cork rounds or flower pots, anything they can hide under, to help them feel secure. You can use a heat mat and thermometer to get your tank temp right. Don't put it under the tank though put it on the side. Pacman frogs like to burrow to help thermoregulate. They burrow to get to cooler spots and don't have the capacity to realize its getting hotter and move. Hope this helps and gl with caring for your frog. These lil guys are great if you are able to appreciate what they are and provide them with what they need.
Welcome to the forum Alex!
Yes. They are usually stop eating when they are full. Your frog is going through a major growth period and it is vital that it receives proper nutrition. Offer food every night. He/she may not eat every night but always offer. Dust the food with calcium with D3 2-3 times a week and multivitamin once a week. Do not dust with the calcium and multivitamin in the same feeding because their bodies won't absorb it as well. Crickets and Nightcrawler chunks make the best staple diet. The general rule of thumb is not to offer items longer than the distance between the frog's eyes.
If you can, please post pictures of the frog and its enclosure.
