    Default New comer

Hi all, my wife decided she wanted some frogs while wondering through the pet store. So i did some research and build a small enclosure for now with a spare 10 gallon tank until we have the room for a larger tank, we are planning 2 fire bellies. Just wanted to see what people though of our setup before go buy them in the next week or so. like i said its a 10 gallon tank with 3d background and has land and water areas. Im having the water filtered with the filter that came with the tank and its disgusied so it doesnt stick out to much on the right side( still needd to add a mesh screen in front of it so they cant get up into the filter at all. Any ways would love to hear what guys think.

Pretty good for a simple tank. FBTs love water and spend most of their time in it. I am sure they will be happy in this until you get another one.

looks pretty good! personally though, I would fill the water up further (so that it's got just a little bit over the top of the top most part of that land area, they love water!) and put something like this in there All Living Things&#0174 Tropical Cave - Habitat Décor - Habitats & Decor - PetSmart so they can hide and climb. They'll also like some plants too. they don't have to be real, but they'll like to hide among the plants and climb on them.

Here's what my tank looks like

I do plan on adding plants and they will be real, and ill get some sort of hid in there Ive been trying to figure out which one or if I should make one and where to put it. As far as the water level I could raise it with out any issue so if its a good idea ill do it. One question I do have though is about my hood. I read that I should get a screen hood so I ordered one and now I just read that a normal aquarium hood that I already have is the right thing to have, so whats every ones thoughts on that?

sounds like you're well on the right track! with FBT's, the more water the better as they contaminate it fast so the more the merrier! I've only ever read that that screen hoods should be used so i don't know.
