So I know I neglected the water change I was suppose to do in the vivarium with my WTF's. I just got so busy with school and being sick.
So, it had been 2 months since I set it up. And then one day I looked inside and saw little white worms in the water. They're not maggots...they're much, much thinner. They are maybe a quarter of an inch long; some were much shorter. They are about as thick as a pin. I only find them in the water and not on the land or the glass. They seem to swim really well. But my frogs had been tearing up the vivarium, and hydroballs and soil had made its way into the water.
Anyone have an idea what this is? I'm worried that it's a parasite. I know Kurt told me to deworm, because they probably came from the frogs, but I can't deworm for another month at least, and I want to know how stressed about it I need to be. :P Also...could it be from the frogs if I have had one for 15 months and the other for 10 months and have never seen this before?
Could be from the frog but sounds a bit big. There are plenty of nematodes that live in soil that would fit that description too.

I did see one that was about half an inch long on one of the frogs, but it quickly disappeared. It was still just as thin.
Think it's dangerous?
I would just thoroughly clean the cage and have the frog treated for parasites to be on the safe-side.
