Default Question About 50/50 Tank (Water Area)

    Hi all,
I have a really silly question to ask. Got my divider in my 20 gallon tank for my fire bellies, half water, half land. I wanted to test the divider's strength, so we filled that side up with water (held overnight and still holding today!) I happened to notice, that's A LOT of water on one side. So I got to thinking. How much water *should* I have on that side? I really, really don't want to remove the divider (hubby had to use a hacksaw to cut it, he split so many pieces trying that I don't dare ask him to trim it again) but I wasn't sure how adept these types of toads are to climbing in/out of the water area if I have it too low.

    So my questions are:
    1. Is filling it up entirely too high?
    2. If so, how high should I put it up (inches wise)?
    3. Should I put a turtle dock or something else in off the divider so they have an easier way to get from one side to the other?

I'm going to have the other side with coconut fiber low at first and climb at a hill-like angle. That way it will be flush with the top of the divider. So either they'll have a drop off on the other side or the water will be that high. Hope this makes sense, once I went to typing I got a bit...finger-tied.

(For reference on how high the divider is vs. the height of the tank which is 12 inches.)

actually that deep water shouldnt harm the toads
just be sure they can get in and out easily

That's what I was mostly worried about. If I fill it flush with the other side (well, right below flush of course), they can swim to the edge and crawl right out onto the fiber. But I was afraid that was *too much* water (I keep seeing pages on here saying 1-2 inches max.) That's about...5-6 inches so I was concerned (I know pacman frogs aren't the best swimmers but I keep seeing that RBT love water so when we first made it, I was thinking the more water the better.) But I'm always second guessing myself, hah.

    Posted my setup here: http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...oad-setup.html

Then realized I have no idea how many people frequent that area of the forums a day xD If anyone here minds, please check it out and leave me some feedback. I'd greatly appreciate it before loading it with water and moving my toadies in
