Ok I know for a fact that my pacman is impacted because he hasn't pooped and hasn't eaten on his own for a good while. He did poop about 2 weeks ago and it wasn't very big. He is kind of bloated and doesn't move from whatever spot he is in. This was my first pacman and at the time I didn't know much about them. I do know more after being on this site so much but when I first got him I fed him superworms which I now know are bad.
My biggest concern is that I need him to poop. I feel like he is suffering and I don't know of any vets that which specialize with these animals. I've tried soaking him in warm water for the past two days. Is there any other solution for impaction or do I just continue the soaking till he finally poops?
Also I have another pacman in the same aquarium that is split into 2 and he is fine and eating well. So the temp and humidity is right.
Add a few drops of honey to the water when you soak him to help with impaction. Do you have temp/humidity gauges, or are you just guessing that they're right since your other frog is doing okay?
Also, how long has it been since he has eaten? What have you been feeding him or trying to feed him since you stopped the superworms?
Yes I have gauges and since then I've fed nightcrawlers and some waxworms which is why I got him to poop that time. But like I said it wasn't very much at all
I've also done the pedialyte soak
Wow he literally just pooped!!!!! Haha how about that
dont give him to many waxworms if hes small.. cuz they can slow them up .. nightcrawlers are best. glad he pooped.. but keep a close eye on him if hes had lots of waxworm.
I know they are fatty. They were more of a treat. Like once a week kinda thing
