last night i was sitting in my room and i kept hearing this thunk sound. i realized it was coming from Jewl's tank. When I went over and looked in Jewl was jumping around. Went back to what i was doing and she kept doing it for about another 30 mins after. So i went over and watched. Jewl was hopping aroundback and forth, and crawling along the entire perimeter of the tank trying to climb up as high as she could and hang upside down from the ceiling. Is this a sign that shes stressed?? she did for about two hours last night. Temp is 70-5 during the day and 65-70 at night. humidity is 70-80 depending on how hot is it here but i mist regularly. shes eating fine.
Frodo does this I think... he makes his way around the perimeter at the very top, feeling the screen as if seeing if he can stick or not. He doesn't do this often but I have caught him on a few occasions. Sometimes he even tries to hang upside down from the mesh screen top and falls to the bottom.
Maybe he saw something that interested him on the outside of the tank.. I don't know what else could be making him act like that as far as illnesses go.
Perhaps she was just feeling particularly frisky that night and was testing her luck in regards to getting out.
My frogs do this all the time. They always seem to be trying to escape!
