Soak is done. Eyes opened a bit for a while. Took him out eyes closed and they seem to be throbing slightly. If thats the right word. When do i feed him. Im nervous...
Soak i done. Eyes opened for a little. Now i put him back and he seems to be like um his eyes are slightly throbing like hes struggling to open them all the way. Is this possible??
GRif lol IDK with this frog. Ok i go to feed him and he wont eat i think to myself what if i wipe him off. He had dirt on him. So i did his waxy layer of skin was on him. From the eyes down. SO i am thinking he got it off his face and it riped to not getting the other part off. ANyway now he is hoping burrowing looking the eyes are all the way out. But he still wont eat. Tomorrow im going to try i think to much happened today for him. Opinion??
Pics of the frog please!
He is probably just scared. Can you post a photo of him? Also force feeding you will need to very gently open his mouth with a playing card or plastic spoon turned upside down. Apply very gentle pressure and squirt the dose into his mouth. Be very careful and confident.
I think imma feed tomorrow too much happened today for him.
is he skinny or still plump?... cant tell this from the pic.. and keep the cage moist.. he was too dry and tried to aestivate.
I guessing my next vid is going to be on mixing the coir to the right moisture levels ...
he just looks healthier. Like he was reborn. I think hes gonna pull through and eat tomorrow. Opinion??
from what I can see he looks fine but I cant see much with him dug into the coir.. sounds like he went into aestivation because his coir was to dry and it probably saved him ... hes stressed because of that and it my take a day or two before he starts eating but IF he is skinny he need to eat soon and you need to keep him moist and 80 to 82 with good humidity or he may not want to eat.
just make sure you keep the coir moist till you get a new gauge and offer food every night but dont hoover to much or try tong feeding it his cage or in a bath of lukewarm water.. whats the lid to the cage look like.
you usually just put a cricket or two in and he eats right?... if so do that.... if he doesn't eat like that next few nights watch the tong feeding videos and try tong feeding first in his cage... if that doesnt work put him in a bath of lukewarm water and try tong feeding while hes in the bath.... also try putting some saran wrap over 2/3s of the lid to help hold in some humidity.
You'll need to cover the top with some plastic wrap(Saran Wrap). leave the vents on the sides of the lid open on the ends and cover the front and rear vents. Cut a hole in the plastic wrap so you can open the clear lid. You can use scotch tape to adhere the plastic wrap to the lid. This will help keep heat and humidity in.
Ok thanks for all the help I'll tell you how he is tomorrow.
He's out hunting!!! He's NEVER done that before!!!! (there's 2 crickets in there)
I'm not sure if he's better but he shows signs. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart grif, ivory, and lump.
