    Default My terrarium

Hello! I just finished cleaning my green tree frog terrarium. I took everything out and changed the eco earth and moss (which I do once about every four months). Just thought I'd post some pictures of what the terrarium looks like now. Does it look suitable for a tree frog terrarium? Anything I should change? Thanks!

Looks amazing, I agree more branch of perch type items. Also what set up is under the moss? What plants? What Substrate? I'd love to know in simple but detailed how you set up the bottom... I'm thinking of putting sheet moss on top of my substrate and have been trying to get opinions and input.

It's a false bottom. Here's how I set it up: There is a square of PVC pipes at the very bottom. I laid mesh (drawer liner) on top of this, and on top of the mesh there is Eco earth. The moss on top of the Eco earth is "frog moss" by Zoo Med. There is a pump at the bottom, with a tube attached to it. The tube goes up through a hole cut in the mesh and up through a hole drilled in a rock that sits on top of the Eco earth. When the pump is turned on it acts like a natural spring. The water is pumped up through the hole, flows down the rock, and soaks back through the Eco earth and mesh to start the process over again. As for the plants, the large one is a pothos. I'm not sure what the other smaller one is called (other appropriate choices would include Chinese evergreen, philodendron, arrowhead, and bromeliads with no spiny edges).

I take everything out of the cage and give it all a good cleaning once every four months. Should I do it more often (I clean the cage decorations once a week)?

P.S. In the second picture you can find both frogs hiding if you zoom in. (Hint: There's one in each plant.)

I see one frog lol and thank-you for details that pothos is really pretty I'm really warming up to the idea of live plants.

So I added in a branch a while ago for a perch; just thought I'd post a picture. Any other recommendations? Thanks!
