    As everyone has said before it's a Grey Tree Frog! They are a wonderful hardy species. I've had two that I plucked from my own backyard and they have adjusted well to captivity. I've had them for a bit over a year now. I think they have a much better life in my care, honestly.

    I'll pass on the compliments to the froggie.

    The gut reaction was that it was not a native frog and he was released by someone who didn't know better. I wasn't there, but looking at the pictures I would have thought that maybe it was a dumpy. I live in a fairly urban area. I've never even seen or heard a frog around my house. My boyfriend lives in a more suburban area, but I don't know if he's ever seen frogs normally around him. I still think someone captured it in one place and released it near where it was found.

    He's away for a week and we'll decide what to do when he returns. In the meantime I'll enjoy his/her (I'm thinking female due to size) company.
