Default Whites tree frog hurt his tongue

My whites tree frog lunged for a cricket a while ago and i noticed he bled from his mouth but he ate cricket and didnt continue to bleed and was fine..and i continued to feed as normal and his mouth seemed ok. today he lunged again and i think he might have hurt his tongue again not sure if its the same cut or a new one. his tongue hung out a little i pushed on it with a q tip and he put it back in, he made a little weezy noise when he hurt his tongue..the crickets hang out on a rock cause he has a water bottom tank. what do i do about a cut in the mouth or on the tongue?

Well I am guessing maybe give him some squishy worms till his mouth heals up and keep his cage clean, so he doesnt get an infection is the best i could guess.never had him hurt his tongue or mouth before =/ He looks ok his tongue hasnt come back out he looks happy and he croaked at me this morning.

Frogs are soft, squishy animals. Why in the world would you keep a pointy or sharp rock in one's enclosure?

Its not sharp and pointy its a flat rock, with no edges. its more of a scrape on the tongue i guess then a cut. I didnt post to get get yelled at about having pointy rocks, i know the dangers of certain things for frogs i know they are very fragile, he had never gotten hurt by this rock before i have had this same rock in there for 4 years.I am very careful what i put in his cage, so if you dont have anything to say about what i should do about his tongue please dont bash me.

I have to agree, jumping to the wrong conclusion is not fair, when I read the response I was like wait where did it state the rock was sharp? I have seen many smooth round rocks in terrariums. I hope your Frog gets better ... I feed mine by tweezers and I wonder sometimes when they go nuts if they will hurt themselves too :/

Thanks, Rae he seems to be doing fine the thing i worry about most is infection. But i have been keeping his tank clean and he's hasnt been acting and different or sick, just gonna give him some time to heal up. think he just went a little crazy when he jumped after the crickets..jumped like he had little rocket boots on lol.
