    Default Weird Observations @_@

    Hey,

My approximately 5.5 month old Cranwelli is acting kind of odd in that...he's active. Which is weird for me and unexpected. He doesn't seem stressed out, but he's walking up against walls (as in, pushing himself up them) of his tank. Is it mating season or something? Is anyone having a more active frog lately? He's eating and everything, it's just really bizarre. He doesn't seem stressed out, I guess, but I guess seeing something so...lumpish actually move is weird.

In addition, I think he's learning to croak--he's gotten a few solid ones in, but more often than not he makes a weird wet noise (like a baby sucking a pacifier) or a cat hacking up a hairball. Do they "practice" before they get good at croaking?

Lol! That's cute! Mine do the wall thing too. I was thinking they hear my others in the room.

What does your baby look like?

Yeah they do this occasionally. Kind of like they get restless and wander around. my Pariah is really making some loud thumps tonight. I'm not sure why, but she's climbing everywhere. She's probably throwing a tantrum, because I didn't feed her right away.

Jr was thumping his tank all last night, but has yet made a solid croak. He sounded like he was trying, but haven't heard a peep out of him.

Oh yeah before I forget. Its a good idea to check their hole for poop when they're doing this because most seem like they're trying to run away from it.

It's so funny! My guy will run from his pile XDDD I don't blame him though...it is pretty stinky for such a little guy. It isn't as smelly since he stopped eating crickets though.

When they eat a lot of night crawlers their poop is severely fowl Lol!! I can smell it before I even look in their enclosures.

Indeed! Good gravy what a smell!

Can feeding a lot of night crawlers cause them to have a softer stool? Sorry for changing the subject and thread jacking.

Yes, Night Crawlers act as a stool softener and can help with passing rodents when Fed 2 days after the frog eats a pinky or fuzzy.

Lol! No doubt, you'll know what a pacman takes a poo! Ha ha!

It's always funny when our new friends say...how will I know when they go? I have to chuckle and think to myself...no worries, you'll know (plugging nose!), lol!

Ooh Jess! Ha ha! I love seeing all of your frogs, but I think I'd have to invest in a gas mask . Just teasing, of course .
