Default is it ok to hibernate toadlets??

hey all, my toadlets r next to my adult toads, who r getting decreased photoperiod
    this makes them hibernate
i assume the toadlets will also follow the photoperiod and hibernate
is it safe to put them through this or should i move them and keep them active this winter? obviously in the wild they'd hibernate and the hibernation process is the only reason the adults mated to produce them
    wat do u think?
