Yeah, see in those pictures I don't see any red dots and it looks like an american toad there. If it's warm in your house (70's) it should be fine for these toads, I doubt a heat lamp would even be necessary. They are pretty hearty unless it gets too hot, which I'm sure is what you experienced. In the wild they endure cold temperatures and I've seen them out and moving in 50-70 degree temps, when it's warmer than that they will burrow to avoid heat.
