    Default What kind of Pacman Frog Is it?

    I've noticed there is a bunch of different names like ornate or fantasy not sure what the differences are and what makes a pacman frog a ornate or a fantasy.

    The would be a C. Cranwelli aka a cranwell, Chaco horned frog..

    Yes, it's a typical Cranwelli. Cute little guy you got there.

    as Jivory said its a Cranwelli. not fantasy or Ornata

    Ornates have bright colors and can be distinguished by their false eye spots on the back on their eyes. Check out Pixiebob's pics.

    Fantasies are a mix of cranwelli and cornuta. You tend not to see many here because they are said to be sterile and cannot produce offspring. Quite a few of our friends here are breeders, Mike, Ivoryreptiles, etc.

    I have 2 fantasies, a male and a female. They have the nicely peeked horned eyes and oriental-like back markings like the cornuta, but also have the side and belly markings of a cranwelli.
