Default Finding Bullfrogs in Greenville, SC

In the pond in California the bullfrogs were very easy to find, and lots of them hung out there in the day and some posed for my photographs. However finding them in Greenville, SC has proven to be a hard chore. I am aware of a state park with a lake and when I go there I hear them, but cant find them. So my next search is for a pond, as I believe they hang out there more so than at rivers. I am not so sure I will find many if any frogs in the Reedy River since frogs do not like rivers. I am presently looking through my Rand McNally map book of my area and have found ponds, however many of them have been in other zip codes, so I need to locate one closer to me. Does anyone know of any? Thanks..

I live in Travelers Rest near Greenville. Honestly, I haven't even heard bull frogs in this area, although I don't live near still water. You almost have to catch the things wandering away from water to spot them. Any bull frogs I've ever spotted near water jump in and swim away as soon as you approach. You could perhaps try to find them at night when they're more active around a lake or pond.
