All four of mine do this. My thought is the feeling of the mist might trigger an eating instinct since it may feel like tiny legs or moth wings fluttering.

Almost surely they're trying to eat. A couple of mine do it at the first shot of the mister then they usually smarten up and don't bother again. Until the next time I mist that is.
They'll also sometimes go for water droplets if I water a high up plant and it's dripping. Anything moving that fits in their mouths is fair game as food.
I'm glad to hear that other's do this so I know it's not abnormal. I think you guys are right though and that they are just trying to eat it. Mine eat fairly but almost always eat when they see a cricket!Thanks guys!
