Custom vertical aquarium/habitat

I'm looking to build my own aquarium that resembles the vertical reptile habitats that you see at petsmart for my pacman frogs. I just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on how to build one. I want to make mine with a square base and about a foot and a half tall.

What material was used for the actual aquarium (glass or something else) and what materials I should stay away from.
I'm open to all types of suggestions if anyone would pleaded help me out
