How much floor space does an adult pacman need? I know they say 10 gal tank, but that is misleading, since it includes the height. I have my eye on a sterlite 15qt latch top plastic storage box. It's foot print is 16.5in x 13in.
a ten gallon is a little small in my opinion for a full grown male. I think the 16.5 will be good but sterlite is hard to regulate temp. I would suggest a 20 gallon tank if you can get one for cheap but if you go with a sterilite than I would keep a close eye on the temps and humidity
I think he or she is wanting to know not the gallons but the actual dimensions if you were to measure only the length and width of the tank, excluding height. 10 gallons is supposed to be fine for an adult male, though, to address your reply. Now to address the OP's question, I'll have to go measure my tank--though my current one is only 5.5 gallons.
Regarding the "floor space" on my 5.5 gallon, it is approximately 16 inches by 8 1/4 inches, if that helps you any.
Yes, I want to know, how long and wide should the tank be. Since height really doesn't matter
my 20 gallon is 24X12X16 I like height to keep plants in there
Adult males can spend their entire life in a 5 to 5.5 gallon tank. They can also do well in a 10 gallon, but large spaces stress these frogs out so going with a smaller enclosure is best. Adult females get larger and need a slightly larger tank. Females can spend their entire life in a 10 gallon, but always place babies and juveniles should be kept in medium to large critter keepers.
