[QUOTE=kero kero;126985]I really love this little guy, unfortunately my parents (who help pay for my rent) told me that it's not the best idea to invest into another pet just yet.. because of money and college right now. I was so sure I'd be able to afford it! But they are uncertain, and I like to stay on their good side. So I'm taking him back. But I do vastly appreciate everyone's help here, and I'm going to keep it all in the back of my mind for the near future. I promise to be back someday with a happy frog in a healthy home environment! Also, here's a picture of him before I hit the road..
Well done you I think it will be for the best .Im mad on frogs but i have 2 small children and have been advised not to keep frogs because of salmonella risk .So I will have to wait to a while to own a frog .you sound like a very resposable young person . take care xx
don't beat yourself up over rushing into this. everyone does something similar more than once in their lives. you actually acted perfectly given the info that you were given and made steps to rectify the situation immediately when you found your mistake. you're going to find that anytime you're dealing with people that are very invested in a hobby, they get a little anal and sometimes mean about what they perceive as poor form in someone who's new to the field. sometimes they're just very passionate and sometimes they just want to feel superior. luckily, there's not a whole lot of the latter here. save up some loot, get your equipment, keep asking us questions and good luck in school.

It's nice to see that you care for the frog enough to bring him back. We all buy stuff on impulse sometimes not knowing whether it was a good idea or notmy CUZZIN goes to U-MASS DARTMOUTH she really wanted a pet even though you cant have them in the dorms "did that stop her" NAH she adopted a 5 year old corn snake and has had her for a while now. The snake works out great for her considering her busy schedule she does not have to worry about humidity like us people that have frogs really only a heat lamp and some food and a late night friend to talk to b 4 bed lol Like you said you WILL be a proud owner of a PAC-MAN FROG one day and when that day comes i am sure you will be happy

Its pretty sad that you cant get good info at a petstore. A lot of people kind of rely on that info, especially when they are drawn to some creature they've never seen before or are a first time keeper.
