The kids brought me a bunch of tadpoles and now they are morphing to froglets. I can't tell what kind they are. I am in Miami and they are in my pond.![]()

Will an 18x18x24 exoterra tank work for this frog?
It looks like a cuban. That tank you mentioned might work for 1 or 2, but keep in mind these are very large frogs.
Thanks. I know in Florida a lot of people are killing them and I could never do that. So I ordered a tank, misting system, light, plants, and live food. For now I am just going to use paper towel for the substrate because they are only the size of my pinky nail. They are so tiny.
Are you going to keep them all? Good for you! I know how you feel, I live in California and there are lots of bullfrogs. Every year I take about 20 tads and I can always find homes for them. Anyway, are you feeding them?
I captured some Mosquitos and noseeums and gave them to them last night. I have flightless fruit flies coming tomorrow. Crickets just look too big for them now. I am not sure what to do with the rest yet. I have ten tadpoles with rear legs and another 30 getting ready.
just dont let em back in the wildCuban tree frogs are killng off the native species to florida. They are a real nuesance (sp). Even though its not their fault that they ended up in florida, they are still harming the wild life and shouldnt be there. Cute frogs though. Pretty sure they are cuban since they are abundant in Florida
The tadpoles have a coppery belly so I thought they might be green tree frogs. I have seen them in my yard as well. But I have also seen Cubans. I was hoping for a native species but it doesn't look like my luck went that way.
Have fun with them! You could try posting a For Sale ad if you don't know what to with them![]()
I will give them away for free. I just want to keep two. I fed them some flightless fruit flies and they gobbled them up.
you really should destroy these Cuban tree frogs. they are a menace to native species and not to be taken lightly..... (snuff them out while they are young and before you give them names)

might want to start breeding the fruitflies, or you can expect to spend a lot of $$ on them lol trust me... But they are very cute frogs if i may say![]()
