My guess would be that this likely won't kill him, but keep a good eye on him. Depending on how long it was sitting out it could have some pretty nasty bacteria growing on it, so that might cause issues.

Well I noticed the poo just after I fed him so I went to get something to clean it and when I came back a few seconds later, he was doing the swallowing move and the poo was gone. I hope I am wrong but I am fairly sure he ate it.

These frogs hunt primarily based on vision and movement... It seems weird that one would eat its own poo. Check the area where you saw it last. He could have buried it or broken it up while moving around. Since the insides look a lot like dirt, just look for bits of exoskeleton and stuff. They will sometimes make that swallowing motion awhile after they have eaten to either hold still living prey still or moving it around in their stomachs. My guess is he probably didn't eat it.

They can also hunt by smell, but I really don't think he would see the odor of his own poop to be appetizing. I don't believe he did this on his own either.

If there was a food item running around in the tank I could see him grabbing it by accident, but they don't just eat their own poop for no reason. I agree with you D. Something else has either caused him to accidentally ingest it or he buried it like a cat.
