Hello from Michigan also!

I'm here because I'm the new mommy of a leopard froglet. We received two tadpoles from Uncle Milton's in July 2011, and just this July (2012), one has managed to turn into a frog. His tail is totally absorbed as of today.

But now I need to know how to feed him.

I have him in a 5.5 gallon aquarium for now since he's only a little over 1" long. I realize this will be way too small for him long-term, and I'm good with getting him something bigger if he survives!

I have large gravel (pebble-size) on one half with a piece of "moss mat" over it and a fake plant. The gravel slopes into the "wet" side of the aquarium. The water is 1.5" deep. Is that too deep for him? He does come out and sit on one of the large pebbles but I've not really seen him venture any further "inland." I have nothing for him to burrow in. Wasn't really sure how to accomplish that. :-(

I also don't know how to feed the little dude now that he's 100% froggy. My local Petco has small crickets, but they're not the pinhead ones. I'd say they're 1/2 as long as the frog at this point.
